The events of last Friday’s sort-of-failed attempt at summoning Stefano’s spirit from the great beyond left Robert’s office trashed. He gave everyone time off with pay until all the repairs were completed. So he left his house to meet Nicole. He walked through Salem thinking about her, and her and Daniel, while reminiscing about days gone by, when and how he met Stefano, why he went to work for him, why he stopped working for him, and why he started a news media company in Salem. The answer to the last two questions was, of course, Nicole. Thinking about all those things made him sad. Sad enough that he didn’t see or hear Nicole arrive.
“Hey, Rob. You okay?”
“I’m fine. Just worried about you. How are you?”
Nicole sat down. Rob pulled food out of a basket he had next to him and handed it to Nicole. “Well, I had a little too much to drink and was having conversations with myself…again.”
“Would you like me to take you to a meeting?”
“No, thank you, but its not that bad yet.” Nicole took a bite of the sandwich.
“This is good.” Rob nodded and bit his own.
This week in Salem…
Hope’s confession of murder meant nothing to Roman, and he told her to go home in response to it. Lani is growing suspicious of Rafe and Hope’s constant changes in behavior. “Will Lani discover the truth?”
“Why not ask, ‘Will Hope shoot Lani to cover up the cover up?”
“Because that’s not going to happen.”
“We’ll see.”
“Claire called her father and asked him to return to salem. Do we see a Shelle reunion on the horizon? Rob deliberately talked with his mouth full so Nicole couldn’t make out what he said. Nicole was glad she couldn’t.
“Maggie got Victor to open up about what happened between him and his brother, Deimos. It involved the death of a woman and 30 years in prison. Did Maggie believe him and was Victor telling the truth on how things went down?”
“Maybe and definitely no.”
“Philip and Belle went to Vegas.”
“Sigh.”
Philip is having second thoughts on his and Deimos’s team-up, because of Belle.
“They already slept together, and its only been like a day SMH.”
“What are your thoughts on Philp and Belle this time around?”
“Sigh.”
“Shawn’s back in town. He ran into Claire and Belle.”
“Shawn or Philip? Who’s it going to be ?”
“I…I cant…next.”
“I was drinking and talking to myself. Theresa came over and helped me snap out of my funk.”
“Happy for both of you.”
“I went to see Brady, and I heard Daniel’s heartbeat. Brady showed signs of survivor’s guilt. I wouldn’t let him go there, because it’s not what Daniel would want from him.”
“Good for you.”
“John met his mother. Her name is Maude.”
“Seriously? She must be a hundred.”
“I doubt it…anyway, she claimed his father died in the Korean war and she had to put him up for adoption.”
“Sad.”
“Then she poisoned him.”
“LOL. Of course she did.”
“John faked being knocked out and turned the tide on the goon that showed up, taking his picture. Maude said she was forced into it. But she was his mother. He got some more info, took his alleged fathers things, and left. He ran into Eduardo. Eduardo identified the goon and said that this was just the beginning.”
What has John unleashed ? Do you find it intriguing?
“Nothing pre-Stefano with John interests me next.”
“Andre tried to convince Chad something happened to Stefano involving Hope. And it must have worked because he started telling everyone who would listen about Andre’s suspicions.”
“Traitorous twit.”
“Anyway, Stefano’s training must have done some good because when he told Hope Andre’s theory, Chad could tell Hope was lying—she was being evasive and nervous.”
“Hmmmm. Nice twist.”
“Hope worried that the cat was out of the bag. She is taking Ciara and Chase out of town.”
“LOL! LOL!”
“Ciara wants Rafe to go with them.”
“That might be a good idea.”
“Andre called Chad. He was able to follow the clues, and he may have been stumbled on Stefano’s body.”
“It’s not …never mind.”
“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”
“Shhhhhh.”
“Fine. I don’t want to know.”
